Story
Hi everyone!
Along with family and friends in the Ballarat community, I am completing my first triathlon at the Triathlon Pink Melbourne Event on the 22nd of January 2023, which is an event to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and breast cancer research. I am excited to be raising money for a good cause and for something close to my heart.
Back in September 2021 my cousin Emily Quinlan, aged 25, was diagnosed with breast cancer, with no family history or genetic factors. She was told she needed 12-18 months of treatment including procedures, surgeries, intense chemotherapy, radiation and targeted treatment. On the 20th of October 2022 Emily completed her last round of active treatment and was classed as cancer free!
I would like to raise awareness and funds for a very important cause, so please click the link and donate to the #checkyourboobs team and support the work of the National Breast Cancer Foundation so they can achieve their goal of Zero Deaths from breast cancer. Your support is greatly appreciated and remember to check your boobs! #checkyourboobs
National Breast Cancer Foundation
The National Breast Cancer Foundation is the only national body that funds life-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public. Research is the only way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. By funding only world-class research, the National Breast Cancer Foundation is working towards a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer.
